CHATEAU-CHINON, MARCH 2019, validation by the federal judge of the national round of the MNT

CHATEAU-CHINON, SATURDAY JULY 6, MNT national round

After having supported the first Bourgogne Franche Comté championship, it was logical to climb a further step. As part of the July Mox trail, a national MN round will therefore be included. On Denis's proposal, part of the COMP team but also more "leisure" walkers came to test and approve this 16 km 5 circuit, different from that of the trail.

Nordic Walking Competition Course, Fontainebleau, We from 23/24 Feb. : advice and cohesion for a great 2019 season!

NORDIC WALK COMPETITION

With around ten competitors playing at the national level, MO2 is proud to have one of the strongest national teams in its ranks. Below, regular news from our competitors from the Machine, Nevers or Morvan basin.

It's not that we haven't updated in a year ... it's just that after being in the top ten nationals in 2018 and 2019, well since ....

First race of the 2018/2019 season at Avon in the park of the Château de Fontainebleau. The Morvan Oxygène team traveled with four people. As usual Fabrice had a good race finishing 20th out of 226, Rémi 38th, Angélique 49 and Denis 73. Nice race for the team with special mention for Angélique who finished first female in her category.

Five members of the team showed up at the start of the 26km race of the Aiglons at Fontainebleau. Fabrice Sauvegrain gave us a great average, despite the detour and still finished 7th, Rémi Sainjeon 13th, André Colin 17th and Angélique Douarne 18th. To complete the team, there was also Denis Grégoire who is coming back from injury but who also had a good race.

What a season 2018 !!!

In Nordic walking, if a season lasts twelve months, it ends with the race of the year "The French Championship" which took place this year at the Fontainebleau horse club.

It was important for the whole MO team to show up in good shape to try to maintain our 7th place of the current year and improve it if possible. If the team classification is important, so is the individual.

Sophie Pinot and Angélique Douarne (new recruit), not meeting the conditions for the number of official races carried out in the year to participate in the “France”, took part in the opening “Open” race. This race is nevertheless made up of champions equal to the others. Angélique will finish 1st female and 8th in the scratch and Sophie 17th female and 63rd out of 107 participants, a big congratulations to both of them.

On the “France, Fabrice Sauvegrain, André and Isabelle Colin, Isabelle Coquin, Denis Grégoire and Rémi Sainjeon were on the starting line for a race in 5 loops with a total distance of 15km.

On a course recognized by all as technical because of the sand and bark of wood, Fabrice once again raced brilliantly in the leading group and will finish 14th in the race followed by André in 54th, Rémi 63rd, Denis 105th, Isabelle Coquin 155th and Isabelle Colin 178th out of 279 participants.

This sporting day will end, as we know so well at home, with a very convivial meal where everyone will dissect their race in order to relive it better.

Final result of the 2018 season: The Morvan Oxygene team finished 6th out of 88 clubs. Put… it's good! In individual, here is the ranking order of our women out of 719 classified: Angélique Douarne 20th, Isabelle Coquin 54th, Isabelle Colin 62nd, Sophie Pinot 113th, Létitia Jolivet 128th, Charlie Coquin 155th and Anne Marie Paillard 185th. Among men, out of 808 classified, Fabrice Sauvegrain finished in 10th place, André Colin 53rd, Rémi Sainjeon 65th, Denis Grégoire 145th.

It is a motivated and solid team that will soon start the new season with the hope of at least maintaining its individual rank and allowing Morvan Oxygène to grab places in the team.

The whole “Nordic walking” team is proud to wear the colors of our club and invites all Morvan Oxygène athletes to come and try Nordic walking, whether on the poles of Château-Chinon, La Machine or Nevers.

A big thank you to everyone for your encouragement throughout the year.
